information collection and use:

our primary goals in collecting and using information are to provide and improve the service, to administer and assist you in administering your account on the service, and to provide you with a better experience with the service. we store and process information in australia & united states.

the e-mail address that you provide for enews subscription is also your username for access to your profile and to reset your password. your e-mail address will not be used for any other reason nor will it be disclosed to any third party.

we may collect your personal information, including your email address, in connection with your joining the pvi enewsletter list. your email address will not be publicly visible to other users on the service. you can review and revise your pvi enews profile information at any time.

when you play any of our applications, we may collect information regarding your device type, operating system and version, carrier provider, ip address, the game version, and your current gps location in order to provide a customized experience.

we use your personal information (in some cases, in conjunction with non-personal information) mainly to provide the service. we may combine your personal information with non-personal information and aggregate it with information collected from other users of the service to attempt to provide you with a better experience, to improve the quality and value of the service and to analyze and evaluate how the service is used. we may also use the combined information without aggregating it to serve you specifically, for instance, by delivering products to you according to your preferences or restrictions.

cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people. pvi collective cookies do not collect personal information, and we do not combine the general information collected through cookies with other personal information to tell us who you are or what your screen name or email address is.

is personal information about me secure?

for security, access and updates to your profile can only be made from an email we will send to your inbox containg a link to update your preferecnes.

you need to prevent unauthorized access to your email account and personal information by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account, as well as protecting any devices the service is installed on.

pvi collective endeavors to protect user information to ensure that user account information is kept private, however, pvi collective cannot guarantee the security of user account information. unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.

the service may contain links to other sites. pvi collective is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. when linking to another site you should read the privacy policy stated on that site. this privacy policy only governs information collected on the service.

what personal information can i access?

pvi collective allows you to access the following information about you for the purpose of viewing, and in certain situations, updating that information. this list will change as our service changes.

deleting your account

should you ever decide to delete your pvi collective enews account, you may do so by visiting the pvi website and typing in your email address and updating your preferences. if you terminate your account, your profile, including any messages, comments, and forum posts by you or to you will be removed from the service and deleted from pvi collective’s servers. because of the way we maintain pvi collective, such deletion may not be immediate, and residual copies of your profile information or posts may remain on backup media.

deviator: locative media app

highlights

any text messages sent within the deviator game are shared with all players. you may choose to not send messages and this will not impact on your game play experience.

your current location is seen by other players only during the duration of the deviator game.

deviator: plain english

deviator is a location-based game in which players can explore their local area, play a series of on-site games, receive points and send text messages within the application. as such, we do need to collect and monitor certain personally-identifiable data from time to time and share such data with other players. this data is only shared to other players during the duration of the game.

deviator uses your current gps location to track your movement in your city and finally generates a line drawing of your route. the game location you visit and play are logged for diagnostic purposes and the current device coordinates are retained as part of this data. these logs are stored securely and are only visible to pvi collective administrators. this information will never be shared in any way with external sources for any reason.

the only data that other players will see are your player code name, points scored and deducted, what you are playing and text messages you send while playing the game.

what choices do i have?

we have designed deviator to be playable in its entirety without creating a user account or divulging your email address.

you are able to play deviator under an alias name and choose this yourself.

changes to this privacy policy

pvi collective may amend this privacy policy from time to time. use of information we collect now is subject to the privacy policy in effect at the time such information is used. if we make changes in the way we use personal information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on our service or sending you an email. users are bound by any changes to the privacy policy when he or she uses the service after such changes have been first posted.
